Images From Taman Tasik Shah Alam, Malaysia

Taman Tasik means lake garden in malay language.

The much underrated public park is a favourite of mine. Unlike most other parks in Malaysia, this 43 hectares of water and greenery was designed to be the focal point of the newly established Shah Alam city back in the early 80s.

All major public buildings such as the municipal offices, grand mosque, public library, cultural centre and  the shopping mall are built around this park so you can actually walk from one building to another through the park.

Current malaysian infatuations with cars means that the park is not as popular as it could be and some parts are a bit run down. It is however an extremely accessible and wonderfully designed park. I hope you enjoy the pictures and one day will find the opportunity visit the place.
